Fourth of July

So I tried posting these pictures in an earlier post but I had a problem with the slideshow. It was such a fun day that I had to repost them to make sure they got on here.
We love spending the 4th with family and we hadn't been able to in 4 years so it was quite a treat to be able to this year. My family always spends the whole day celebrating the fourth by swimming, having great food and of course fireworks. This year was even more eventfully because we got to celebrate my niece, Abagail's first birthday. We all had a lot of fun. I am so glad that we live closer to family so that we can enjoy holidays like this more often!

Goodbye Summer Break

All good things must come to an end and that is what our summer break has done. We had quite an eventful summer. We drove cross country. Leanne was sweet enough to fly out to South Carolina to drive back to Arizona with me and the kids. It took us 5 LONG days. There were times when I thought we would never get there, particularly when we were in Texas, but we got there. The kids got to spend time with their cousins, which I loved the most. We bought our first home this summer and Josh has separated from the Air Force and now works in the civilian world. Big change. We didn't get to see all the friends and family that we wanted to but all in all it was a great summer filled with lots of memories.

My little girl is growing up!

Emily started the 6th grade last week. I can't believe my little girl is old enough to be in junior high. I can still remember vividly like it was yesterday of me in junior high. Time sure does fly! Anyway, she loves her new school and is slowly making friends. She insisted on complete independance this year and is riding the bus to and from school. That was very hard for me at first but I also know it was time and she needed me to loosen up on those apron strings some. I hope she has a great year!

Starting A New Chapter

So I created this blog a few years ago and then completely neglected it. Now that our family is starting a new chapter in our lives I had made a promise to myself to keep this page updated. Cross your fingers please!

As you all know, Josh is separating from the Air Force next month. Because of this we got to finally leave South Carolina, not that it was that horrible, and move to Arizona so that we could be closer to family. We were blessed with being able to purchase a beautiful home in Queen Creek. We love it here and Josh and I both feel that this is where we are supposed to be to raise our children. I am very excited for this new chapter in our families life and I promise to share more of it with you.
